While diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were established in 1961, the history that unites the two countries dates back well before that time, although it is little mentioned, or even almost non-existent in historiography in general.

The Vietnam-Morocco Friendship Association will act as a bridge to promote exchange and cooperation activities in the fields of politics, economy, culture and trade between the two peoples.
