The search for remains of US servicemen missing in action in Vietnam is a humanitarian cooperation activity between the Vietnamese and US Governments. This was the 161st hand-over of missing US servicemen’s remains since 1973.

The Vietnam-US MIA cooperation will continue to achieve positive outcomes and fulfill its humanitarian mission, helping to lift the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership to a new height.

The Vietnamese Office for Seeking Missing Persons (VNOSMP) held a 20-year annumal ceremony to commemorate 16 victims of a helicopter accident during activities of searching for US soldiers missing in action (MIA) in Vietnam.
