The event took place in a warm atmosphere, with representatives from the UAE Embassy and leaders, lecturers, and students from Lac Hong University in attendance. The activity aimed to acknowledge the efforts of Vietnam’s younger generation in science and technology, while also demonstrating the UAE’s interest in cooperation in education, innovation, and the development of high-quality human resources.
Previously, on February 4, 2026, within the framework of the World Government Summit (WGS 2026) in Dubai, the Lac Hong University team surpassed more than 5,000 projects from 126 countries and territories to win the Silver Award at the Global Best M-Gov Award 2026. This was also the first time since the award was launched in 2014 that a Vietnamese representative had entered the group of top award winners in the competition.
Speaking at the event, Eisa Alhammadi, Chargé d’Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Vietnam, emphasized that the UAE has consistently regarded education, innovation, and technology as core foundations for building a sustainable future and improving people’s quality of life.

He noted that over the years, the UAE has implemented numerous national strategies to promote a knowledge-based economy, with a particular focus on science and technology, artificial intelligence, and the development of young human resources.
Representatives of the UAE Embassy also shared that the UAE is making significant investments in education and scientific research through the establishment of innovation centers, the expansion of cooperation with leading universities and technology organizations worldwide, and the creation of favorable conditions for young people to develop skills in technology, programming, and innovative entrepreneurship.
According to Eisa Alhammadi, initiatives such as the Museum of the Future in Dubai and the UAE Centennial 2071 program clearly demonstrate the UAE’s long-term vision in preparing future generations with knowledge, technology, and a spirit of innovation.
“That is why we are delighted to witness creative ideas such as ‘Your Voice’ being developed by Vietnamese youth - individuals who are not only highly capable in technology, but who also carry a strong sense of social responsibility and the aspiration to create value for the community,” he stressed.
Bui Xuan Canh, a lecturer from the Information Technology Faculty of Lac Hong University, shared that participating in the World Government Summit in Dubai was a special and highly inspiring experience for the team.

“Attending the World Government Summit (WGS 2026) in Dubai this past February was an experience that changed both my worldview and that of my students. We were not only overwhelmed by the professionalism of the host country UAE in organizing the event, but were also truly impressed by the future-oriented vision and innovative spirit that the UAE promotes,” the team representative shared.
At the competition, the team introduced the “Your Voice” project - a solution applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision to support real-time sign language translation, thereby helping to break down communication barriers for people with hearing impairments.
“Among more than 5,000 submissions from around the world, the moment Vietnam’s name and the Your Voice project were announced for the Silver Award in the UAE was not only a source of pride for Lac Hong University or me, but also a source of pride for the intellect of Vietnam’s younger generation,” the team representative stated.
The team also emphasized that the award serves as a tremendous source of motivation to continue improving the project and bringing technology into service for the community.
“This award affirms that technology only truly has value when it serves people and leaves no one behind. The recognition and support from the UAE will be an important source of motivation for us to continue developing the Your Voice project and bring it closer to vulnerable communities,” he said.
