The store will be located at Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach in Dong Da district. It is also one of Southeast Asia’s largest apparel showcases of garments, Koyama Noriaki said.
He stressed that Uniqlo will strive to provide the best garments and hoped Hanoi’s residents will love its products.
Uniqlo will open at least three stores in Hanoi in the time ahead, and a total of 10 to 20 stores across Vietnam, Noriaki added.
Thus, he wished that the Hanoi’s authorities would support the group in finding locations for stores.
Noriaki thanked the municipal authorities for their active support for Uniqlo in the process of finalizing the relevant legal procedures.
In December 2019, the first Uniqlo store in Vietnam was opened at Parkson Saigontourist Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.
The brand operated 213 stores in Southeast Asia as of last year and plans on 400 by 2022. Globally, it has over 2,200 stores in 24 countries and territories.
According to German research firm Statista, Vietnam's fashion revenue will grow 22.5 percent a year in the 2017-2022 period, reaching $988 million yearly by 2022./.
