According to the Hai Phong City Electronic Portal, speaking at the Vietnam-China Friendship Exchange 2025, Vice President of the Hai Phong People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong stated that the event takes place in the context of the steadily developing relationship between the two countries, which is becoming deeper and more substantive, aiming toward building a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance.

In Hai Phong, people-to-people friendship activities have been vibrant in recent years, contributing to consolidating and enhancing the friendship between the peoples of the two countries. This year's exchange program, focusing on people-to-people exchanges and business connectivity, continues to affirm the vitality and potential for cooperation in people-to-people relations and economic collaboration between Hai Phong and Chinese enterprises and partners. The event also serves as an opportunity for both sides to strengthen traditional friendship, share ideas, seek new cooperation opportunities, and build a friendly, prosperous community of shared interests and development in Hai Phong.

Vice President Hoang Minh Cuong affirmed that Hai Phong always values its cooperative relations with Chinese localities and enterprises, considering them among the city’s key strategic partners in the process of integration and development. The city encourages businesses from both countries to expand cooperation, especially in supporting industries, high technology, clean energy, digital economy, green economy, and circular economy. He urged departments, agencies, friendship organizations, and the business community to effectively implement signed cooperation agreements, and to broaden exchanges in education, culture, science and technology, investment, and trade, aiming to form international supply chains right in Hai Phong.

At the event, Chinese investors highly appreciated Hai Phong’s efforts in administrative reform and investment environment improvement, considering these as drivers that promote cooperation between Hai Phong in particular and Vietnam in general with China. In addition, the Hai Phong Vietnam-China Friendship Association has brought enduring vitality and meaning to the Vietnam-China friendship, creating a solid foundation for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

On this occasion, the Hai Phong Vietnam-China Friendship Association presented awards to 11 outstanding enterprises that have made significant contributions to business operations and Vietnam-China friendship and cooperation activities.
