Three imported cases in the last 24 hours

On the morning of March 30, no new cases found. Three imported cases of COVID-19 were detected in the past 12 hours to 6 pm on March 29, who were put into quarantine after entry, according to the Health Ministry.

Of the new patients, two are Vietnamese women entering through the Moc Bai international border gate and are now being treated at the General Hospital of Tay Ninh province, and the remainder is a 30-year-old Indian expert. She is now being quarantined and treated at the Cu Chi Hospital for COVID-19 treatment in Ho Chi Minh City.

Returnees from COVID-19 hotspots to HCM City must quarantine for 14 days

Ho Chi Minh City’s Centre for Disease Control (HCDC) said that returnees from localities with COVID-19 patients in Hai Phong city and Binh Duong province must quarantine at home for 14 days.

Anyone returning from Le Hong Phong street in Dang Giang ward in Ngo Quyen district in Hai Phong, and road D35 in the Vietnam-Singapore residential area in An Phu ward in Thuan An city in Binh Duong will be supervised by HCDC and tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Both localities are connected to two COVID-19 patients, the Ministry of Health said on March 26.

According to HCDC, authorities have discovered that four people who illegally entered Vietnam on a fishing vessel from Cambodia on March 22 had accompanied the three previously confirmed patients. One of them had stayed at a hostel in the Go Vap district and two others at a hotel in District 1 in HCM City, and another in Hanoi. All of them have tested negative for the virus. HCM City and Phu Quoc Island City are seeking three other people who were on the vessel. Phu Quoc authorities are conducting contact tracing involving the three COVID-19 patients, and 26 of their direct contacts have been found.

Da Nang adjusted land prices to support businesses amid COVID-19

On March 29, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Quang Nam said that the city would launch a series of land price adjustments to support businesses to restore production and after COVID-19. Accordingly, last year, the national economy in general and Da Nang, in particular, have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In Da Nang, the revenue of tourism, service, restaurant, and hotel industries sharply reduced, many businesses had to close or go bankrupt, while still having to pay land rent according to regulations.

In the spirit of supporting businesses to quickly overcome the difficult period, soon restore production and business, Da Nang city finds that some of the contents in the city's land price list are no more consistent with reality.

On March 27, 2021, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 07/2021/QD-UBND, adjusting 2 contents of the land price for the 2020-2024 period. Accordingly, land prices for commercial and service will decrease by 10% compared to the present (from 80% to 70%), land prices for production and business will also decrease by 10% compared to the present (from 60% to 50%).

Hai Duong changed the anti-pandemic state from April 1

Hai Duong province will finish its pandemic prevention and control according to Directive 19, and return to a new normal state from 0:00 am on April 1. However, the provincial leaders requested three localities, namely Hai Duong city, Chi Linh city, and Kim Thanh district, to actively apply stricter measures in pandemic prevention and control.

Accordingly, from April 1, all students of all grades from kindergarten to high school in the Hai Duong will return to school. However, extracurricular activities, life skills education, competitions, exchanges will continue to be halted. The organization of boarding meals for students must ensure strict compliance with COVID-19 preventive measures. Leaders of Hai Duong province asked schools to delay the entrance exam on October 10 of the 2021-2022 school year for one week

Restaurants, cafes are allowed to open, but measures must be taken to strictly prevent the pandemic. Non-essential services such as bars, discos, karaoke, massage, gym, movie theater, internet bar are suspended until April 15. Street beer shops are not allowed to open.

The new cases brought the national count to 2,594. A total of 2,308 COVID-19 patients have been given the all-clear by now. Among those still under treatment, 30 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 38 twice and 57 thrice.

A total of 44,833 people are being quarantined nationwide, with 483 at hospitals, 18,412 at concentrated facilities, and 25,938 at their accommodations.
