Vietnamese Ph.D elected to Global Young Academy
Ph.D Tran Quang Huy, a researcher at the Central Institute for Hygiene and Epidemiology, has been elected to the Global Young Academy in 2017. He will be honored at GYA's annual meeting on May 16.
Global Young Academy (GYA), founded in 2010 in Berlin, is an international society of young scientists. The academy typically works as the voice of young scientists for the advancement of issues important to young scientists.
GYA has a maximum membership of 200, elected from young scientists (under the age of 40) with excellent scientific achievements. The tenure of each member is five years. GYA members come from a total of 70 countries around the world, they will be invited to attend the annual meeting to discuss scientific issues with distinguished guests, including famous scientists and political activists.
This year, 40 out of 270 scientists from around the world were selected as GYA members. And Ph.D Tran Quang Huy is one of them.
