	Vietnam Through Australian Eyes: Land of Flavor, Warmth, and Timeless Charm

The Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club (HUTC) organized the workshop “EVisa – Taking off the Turkish dream” on July 24, in Hanoi, officially announcing that Turkey will include Vietnam in the list of countries eligible for electronic visas (eVisa) from September 1, 2025 and launching the Vietnam – Türkiye TTourism Product Development Alliance.

The alliance is expected to open up new opportunities for tour operators to create culturally rich travel experiences while leveraging simplified visa procedures. Turkish Ambassador to Vietnam, Korhan Kemik, confirmed that from September 1, Vietnamese citizens will be eligible for Türkiye’s eVisa programme, making travel easier and paving the way for more meaningful cooperation across multiple sectors.

"The simplification of the visa process is a clear demonstration of our commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation," said Kemik. "Beyond tourism, the eVisa will serve as a catalyst for broader development in culture, education, trade, and people-to-people ties."

Kemik also highlighted tourism as a bridge between societies. "When people travel, they gain new perspectives and bring home meaningful connections. This is precisely the spirit we aim to nurture between Türkiye and Vietnam," he said.

In the vision of bilateral tourism development, connectivity is considered key. Turkish Airlines – the national airline of Türkiye is currently operating regular flights to Vietnam. According to the ambassador, from October 2025, the frequency of flights will be increased, creating more flexibility and convenience for both tourists and travel companies of the two countries. With its global network, Turkish Airlines plays an important role in connecting the two countries. The increase in flight frequency is a clear demonstration of Türkiye’s commitment to promoting people-to-people exchanges and tourism cooperation with Vietnam, the diplomat affirmed.

At the conference, Vietnamese businesses expressed special interest in specialized tours to Türkiye, especially journeys to explore unique culture, heritage, cuisine and nature in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Troy or Antalya. Many units proposed developing Halal tourism products, not only for Muslim tourists but also in line with the growing trend of experiencing local cuisine and religious culture.

Mustafa Korkutata, Counselor for Tourism and Culture of the Embassy of Türkiye in Malaysia, in charge of Vietnam, gave a detailed presentation on Türkiye's tourism potential, product groups suitable for the Vietnamese market, as well as the direction of bilateral cooperation in the coming time.
