Vietnamese Community in Laos Celebrates Year End with a Gathering in Vientiane

The event attracted representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, the General Association of Vietnamese People in Laos, and the Vietnamese People's Association in Vientiane.

Nguyen Dinh Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, addressed the gathering, commending the Vientiane club of Vietnamese from Hue for fostering solidarity and mutual support within the community.

He highlighted their pivotal role in promoting Vietnamese culture, particularly the heritage of Hue, and reinforcing the identity of the Vietnamese community in Laos. Ha added that these efforts have significantly contributed to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Club Chairman Dang Thuan emphasized that, with solidarity and mutual support, the club in particular and the Vietnamese community in Laos, in general, have made unceasing efforts to overcome difficulties and develop economic activities. He also commended their practical initiatives, such as supporting those in need, which have strengthened community ties and helped individuals overcome hardships.

Local authorities expressed strong support for the event, recognizing it as a platform to build cohesion within the Vietnamese community and foster contributions to Laos’ socio-economic development.

At the gathering, participants enjoyed traditional Vietnamese dishes, shared stories, and celebrated the enduring bond between the two nations. The event fostered solidarity and optimism as attendees looked ahead to 2025 with renewed determination and pride.
