Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue sent a letter of congratulations to Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, on the occasion of the Caribbean nation’s 63rd National Day (Jan. 1, 1959 - 2022), reported VNA Saturday.

In his letter, Hue noted with pleasure the rare, exemplary, and faithful comradeship and fraternity between Vietnam and Cuba have been consolidated continuously and developed comprehensively amid unpredictable global uncertainties and complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese legislature will make every effort to promote the special relationship between the two countries, as well as the close cooperation between the two legislative bodies, for the sake of the people of both countries.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also sent his congratulations to First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel.

Similar messages were also cabled by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to his Cuban counterpart Manuel Marrero Cruz; and by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to President of the Cuban Council of State Esteban Lazo Hernandez.

The same day, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son congratulated his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parilla.

The delegation congratulated Cuba's 63rd Liberation Day and New Year in Cuban Embassy in Hanoi.
