The parade also featured demonstrations by fast-attack crafts and helicopters of the Royal Malaysian Navy. Alongside Vietnam’s Frigate 016 - Quang Trung, other ASEAN navies also deployed ships: RSS Vigour (Singapore), KRI Bung Tomo (Indonesia), KPD Darulaman (Brunei), UMS King Sin Phyu Shin (Myanmar), HTMS Krabi (Thailand), and BRP Antonio Luna (Philippines). The host nation Malaysia contributed three RMN vessels: KD Kedah, KD Lekiu, and KD Lekir.
According to the organizers, the parade was not only a unique cultural and military activity but also carried symbolic meaning, serving as a reminder of shared traditional values, honoring friendship, promoting maritime cooperation, and strengthening peace and unity within the ASEAN community.
The parade formed part of a series of major events hosted by the Royal Malaysian Navy from August 16-21, alongside the 19th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting (ANCM) and the ASEAN Fleet Review (AFR).
