Vietnam's Binh Duong, RoK's Daejeon Join Hands to Assist People with Disabilities

A memorandum of cooperation signing ceremony took place between the Social Work and Sponsorship Center of Binh Duong province and the Association of People with Disabilities of Daejeon city to give exchange and learn from each other's experiences, improve the effectiveness of care and support for people with disabilities in the two localities.

According to the content of the Cooperation Memorandum between the Center for Sponsorship and Social Work of Binh Duong province and the Daejeon's Association of People with Disabilities, the two units agreed to cooperate in fields consistent with their functions, tasks, and capabilities such as providing free information technology education for people with disabilities and vulnerable groups in Binh Duong province; basic computer skills training; basic digital information technology education, and other support activities for vulnerable groups.

For the Binh Duong's Center for Sponsorship and Social Work, it is responsible for supporting locations for information technology education and necessary administrative procedures for the project; discussing and coordinating with Daejeon's side to come up with a specific cooperation plan.

As for the Daejeon's association, they will provide computers, tablets, and support necessary expenses for project activities. At the same time, the association will also comply with Vietnamese law when conducting cooperation and operations in Binh Duong.

Also at the signing ceremony, Nguyen Loc Ha, vice chairperson of Binh Duong People's Committee hoped that the program of signing a memorandum of cooperation, it will help the two units exchange and learn from each other's experiences, in order to improve efficiency. care and support for people with disabilities in two localities; thereby helping people with disabilities have the opportunity to study, find stable jobs, advance in life, and integrate into the community.
