VUFO, ISB Cooperate to Strengthen Mutual Understanding between Vietnamese, Venezuelan

| The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) had an online meeting with the Simon Bolivar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples (ISB - under the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs) on the morning of October 31. |
Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, said VUFO wants to cooperate and exchange information with Venezuelan partners. Through seminars, discussions, scholar exchanges, universities and research facilities connections, and others, both sides contribute to strengthening mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, especially the younger generation. The two sides also need to promote business connections, contributing to strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
According to Carlos Ron, Venezuela's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for North America and President of the ISB Vietnam and Venezuela have traditional friendly relations. The Venezuelan people have good affection for the people and the struggle for independence of Vietnam. Ron expressed his desire to cooperate and consult VUFO's experience in implementing people-to-people exchange activities.
The two sides agreed to cooperate in implementing practical activities in the field of people-to-people exchange relations between Vietnam and Venezuela, towards the 35th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries (1989 - 2024).
