World Vision Vietnam in December continued presenting gifts as relief aid to vulnerable children and families in Hai Lang district, the central province of Quang Tri, within the framework of its national programme on COVID-19 response and post-pandemic recovery.

Apart from gifts, the organisation worked to popularise prevention messages among the community in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus, improve the local medical sector, and raise capacity of local health workers.

It supported children affected by COVID-19 through child protection, nutrition-health care, and livelihood programmes, and called for efforts in building a future where all children are protected and grow up in love.

In November, World Vision Vietnam granted water tanks to beneficiary households in Minh Long and Son Tay districts, Quang Ngai province, also in the central region.

Those water tanks will help the households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic store freshwater for daily life and overcome difficulties caused by water shortages during the dry season.

This distribution belongs to a recovery project valued at VND 10.7 billion (US$ 462.43) funded by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through World Vision Vietnam, which is being rolled out in Tua Chua and Muong Cha districts (Dien Bien province), Tram Tau district (Yen Bai povince), Nam Giang district (Quang Nam province), and Son Tay and Minh Long districts (Quang Ngai province)./.
