Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW, issued by the Politburo on May 19, 2026, on implementing the foreign policy set forth at the 14th National Party Congress, establishes the goal of developing Vietnam's external relations in the new era in a manner commensurate with the country's historical stature, cultural heritage, and international standing.

The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Vietnam hosted a reception in Hanoi on the evening of June 25 to celebrate Belarus's 35th National Day (July 3, 1991 – July 3, 2026). On June 24 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Peace Committee held a conference to review its work during the first six months of 2026 and examine preparations for its 2026-2031 Congress. The meeting focused on assessing the Committee's activities over the past six months while discussing key issues related to preparations for the upcoming Congress.
