As of 4 p.m. April 18, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Public Security had carried out the first and second phase of COVID-19 vaccination for a total of 79,182 in 22 provinces and cities throughout the country, the Ministry of Health said on April 19.

The vaccinated people are frontline medical workers, and members of anti-coronavirus community groups, and the steering committees on COVID-19 prevention and control, alongside police and armed forces, according to VOV.

Hai Phong city has finalized the first vaccination phase, while the provinces of Quang Ninh and Hai Duong are redoubling efforts to complete the first drive.

Five provinces, including Bac Ninh, Ha Tinh, Cao Bang, Phu Yen and Bac Giang have conducted the second phase of COVID-19 inoculation.
