Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Cinema Department Do Quoc Viet said that cinema not only provides entertainment but also contributes to character development and the promotion of positive values among children. This year, in addition to in-person screenings, many Vietnamese animated films are also being distributed through digital platforms to broaden access for young viewers nationwide.

As part of the film week, screenings are being conducted through two formats: nationwide distribution via mobile cinema teams and the FPT Play platform, as well as direct screenings organized in Quang Ngai.

According to VOV, a number of Vietnamese films for children are being introduced during the event, including the animated features Little Trang Quynh: The Golden Buffalo Legend and Wolfoo and the Three Realms Race, along with 15 animated films produced by Vietnam Animation Studio JSC and the live-action film Maika: The Girl from Another Galaxy.

In Quang Ngai specifically, free screenings are being offered to local residents and children from May 31 to June 3. The selected films include Cricket: Adventure to the Muddy Hamlet, Little Trang Quynh: The Golden Buffalo Legend, Face Off 8: Sunlit Embrace, and Wolfoo and the Three Realms Race.

According to the Cinema Department, through diverse screening formats and a rich selection of films, the event is expected to become a meaningful cultural highlight of the summer, providing children across Vietnam with enriching entertainment experiences and valuable educational content.
