University life often comes with promises of freedom and knowledge. But what few people talk about is that this “growing up” journey usually begins with stress and loneliness. Every back-to-school season, freshmen stories prove one thing: to truly “level up,” you have to face pressure head-on, learn how to manage stress, and push beyond your limits to enjoy what could be the most exciting years of your life.
When “Freedom” Means “Fend for Yourself”
Stepping into Ho Chi Minh City for the first time, standing in front of a campus designed like a ship sailing boldly into the future, Minh Thu (born in 2007, from An Giang, now a freshman at Hong Bang International University) was absolutely thrilled.
She imagined student life in the city as a dream come true—filled with goals, new experiences, and a chill group of friends from all over the country. As a naturally outgoing and energetic person, Thu was confident she’d settle in as easily as catching a bus ride.
But reality hit different. “Living on my own isn’t the rose-colored fantasy I thought it’d be,” Thu admitted after her first month navigating college life solo. The real shock didn’t come from deadlines or assignments, but from the feeling of “being lonely in a crowded city”—like being out of sync in a remix track that’s playing too fast. The hectic city life left the girl from the Mekong Delta feeling adrift, and homesickness slowly crept in.

| After an exciting start, many freshmen face stress as they encounter countless challenges and difficulties living away from home for the first time. |
The tipping point? A full-on financial crisis—the kind Gen Z calls being “flat broke.” Thu recalled, “There was a week I swiped nearly 5 million VND on my card, then lived off instant noodles after that.” The pressure of managing her own studies, meals, transportation, and even caring for herself when sick left her drained and overwhelmed.
Similarly, Pham The Hien (from Quang Tri), a freshman at Van Hien University, found his move to the South full of challenges. From house-hunting and adjusting to city traffic to local dialect barriers, Hien found himself totally overwhelmed.
“Everything’s been unfamiliar for over a month now. I’ve felt completely out of my element—less confident and constantly stressed,” Hien shared.
For freshmen, the “breaking-out-of-the-cocoon” journey is one trial after another. But stress isn’t a dead end—it’s a wake-up call. For students like Minh Thu and The Hien, it’s a signal to adapt. Because let’s be real—no “level up” comes without a few boss fights.

Hit Reset: Cool Down the Stress to Grow Up Stronger
At a weekend trip to Dong Nai, Minh Thu beamed as she held a cold bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea in hand. “With Zero Degree, there’s no stress,” she joked.
After weeks of feeling out of sync, Thu chose to step out of her comfort zone by joining extracurricular clubs. There, she made new friends, sang and played music, and picked up practical skills like budgeting and self-defense. “I realized independence isn’t optional if I want to build my future—so I need to adapt quickly,” she said.
Her daily chill-out routine? Music and her favorite bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea. “Every time I vibe to my favorite songs and take a sip of that cool green tea, all the stress melts away. Life just feels easier day by day.”
For The Hien, his stress-busting combo is jogging and sipping Zero Degree Green Tea. “Outside of class and downtime, I go for runs to reduce stress and explore my neighborhood. After a run, I cool down with a bottle of Zero Degree and recharge for the next sprint,” he said.
Hien’s love for tea goes back to his childhood in Cam Lo, where the region’s famous Cua green tea was a household staple. Already familiar with green tea, he quickly recognized that Zero Degree Green Tea is made from 100% natural Thai Nguyen green tea, rich in EGCG—an antioxidant known to relieve stress and fatigue.
“Since I started jogging and drinking Zero Degree daily, I’ve felt more relaxed and confident. I’m adjusting much faster to this new life,” Hien said excitedly.

Stress Isn’t the Enemy—It’s the Start of Growth
The first pressures of adulthood often require a “spark” to relieve stress and restore balance. More than just a refreshing drink, Zero Degree Green Tea delivers a powerful message to young people: the way to “level up” is to face stress head-on, learn to manage it, and keep yourself centered.
Students like Minh Thu and The Hien are living proof: when you know how to reset, and have a “must-have” companion like Zero Degree Green Tea by your side, every challenge becomes a launchpad for personal growth—and the student years become something truly worth remembering.
