From Deadlines to Nature: How Vietnamese Youth Are Cooling Down Burnout

Just a week after returning to work from a break to defend her BMA Marketing thesis, Phuong Nghi (28, brand manager in Ho Chi Minh City) decided to “escape” again. She and two friends fled the city for Da Lat, seeking a reset from the pressures of life.

Between constant deadlines, peer pressure, and unspoken expectations, many young people like Nghi feel trapped in a loop they can’t exit.

According to Deloitte, nearly 46% of Gen Z report feeling frequent stress at work, and 77% have experienced burnout at least once. But instead of waiting for a miracle, this generation is taking matters into their own hands—retreating into nature, where sunlight, fresh air, and bottles of Zero Degree Green Tea help cool the mind and melt away tension.

Da Lat: Sipping Tea, Paddling SUPs, and Walking Through the Fog to Cool Down Life

For Phuong Nghi, this wasn’t a vacation—it was an emergency escape after a stretch of overwhelming intensity.

“I was swamped by a tough thesis, a brutal defense process, and the chaos of end-of-year product launches,” she recalls. “I felt like a drained machine—I needed to unplug immediately.”

At 4:30 a.m., Nghi and her friends set out to hike Thien Phuc Duc Hill. The path was slick, the mist freezing—but with every step, it felt like shedding another layer of stress. When the sun finally pierced the clouds and its first rays touched her shoulders, Nghi pulled a bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea from her backpack. Chilled and dewy, the pure green tea aroma filled the air—light, refreshing, and calming. Each sip, rich in natural EGCG, felt like it swept away stress from her mind.

“Every sip was like hitting the reset button on my brain,” she smiles. “After everything, just sitting there, breathing deeply, sipping tea—I felt genuinely relaxed, recharged.”

Later, back at the homestay, the group headed to Tuyen Lam Lake for some SUP paddling. The water was still, the mist lifting, and the rhythm of the paddles seemed to erase all the deadlines from her mind. When they popped open cold bottles of Zero Degree Green Tea, the natural green tea taste felt like a final “switch” to fully reset.

“Physically tired, but mentally weightless. All the stress was gone—I was ready to return to work, fully refreshed,” Nghi said.

Sipping tea and paddling SUP are among young people’s favorite activities to relieve stress and cool down from the pressures of life.

Da Nang: Letting Stress Drift Away with the Waves and Wind

For Khoi Nguyen (28, software developer), burnout didn’t come from deadlines but from the “firewall of code” he faced every day.

“My mind was locked in an endless loop,” he explains.

To break free, he and his friends booked a trip to Da Nang, looking to reconnect with real life in the sea breeze and crashing waves.

At My Khe Beach, Nguyen dove into the waves, letting the ocean beat the fatigue out of him. Every time he got knocked over, he came up laughing. Under the blazing sun, he cracked open a chilled bottle of Zero Degree Green Tea. The refreshing sips were like an internal reset button.

“The chill rushed through my body, and the EGCG from the natural green tea cleared my head. It was like closing every unnecessary browser tab in my mind.”

Then something unexpected happened—in that “no-stress” moment, the solution to a tricky bit of code suddenly came to him.

Zero Degree Green Tea is the inspiration that helped me cool down and break through the wall of burnout,” he grinned. “One wave, one bottle, and one clear mind—that’s all it took to shake off the stress and reboot.”

Saigon: Releasing Pressure and Rediscovering Creative Flow

For Mai Ngan (27, interior designer), cooling down life is more about quiet creativity.

One weekend afternoon, she brought her color palette and canvas to the banks of the Saigon River. In the calm space, she played some music and started freestyle painting—pouring out her stress, deadlines, and exhaustion into every brushstroke.

When the last stroke dried, she opened a cold Zero Degree Green Tea, sipping slowly.

“The fragrant, pure flavor felt like a stream washing through my mind,” Ngan said, watching the sun sparkle on the water. “In that moment, everything felt lighter. The pressure was gone. I felt fully ‘no stress.’”

Bathed in golden sunlight, with a breeze on her skin and the taste of green tea in the air, Ngan found instant relief. She rediscovered herself—free, calm, and recharged, ready to restart her flow of inspiration.

From the Mountains to the City: Gen Z and the “Zero Degree, No Stress” Vibe

From Thien Phuc Duc Hill to My Khe’s waves and the peaceful Saigon River, Vietnam’s Gen Z is creating their own version of work-life balance—real, refreshing, and full of energy. They’re not avoiding pressure, but learning to release it at the right time, so their minds stay clear and spirits stay light.

On these mini “escapes,” Zero Degree Green Tea isn’t just a drink—it’s a companion, a must-have item that helps soothe the mind, reduce stress, and cool down life.

One sip of tea. One deep breath. One moment in nature—that’s all it takes for today’s youth to power back up and return to the city with a “Zero Degree, No Stress” mindset, ready to face whatever comes next.
