From Thailand, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh (Khon Kaen) praised the training course as an opportunity for teachers from many countries to learn modern teaching methods and strengthen their connection with the homeland, thereby nurturing the younger generation’s love for their country.
Representing the Advisory Board, Professor Nguyen Minh Thuyet acknowledged the dedication and serious commitment of over 500 participating teachers: “Even though we are teaching in faraway countries, we all share the same passion — to preserve and pass on the flame of the Vietnamese language to younger generations. This connection and shared devotion will become a great source of strength to ensure that Vietnamese is cherished, respected, and heard across the five continents,” he said.
Venerable Thich Phap Quang, Abbot of Truc Lam Monastery in Sri Lanka, shared his experience of maintaining three Vietnamese language classes for more than 60 children in a community of fewer than 200 overseas Vietnamese, stressing that the training course has provided valuable motivation and systematic teaching methods.
According to the Organizing Committee, after the conclusion of the training course, the Global Network for Vietnamese Language and Culture Teaching will be officially launched on September 29. Other initiatives include developing a “Global Map of Vietnamese Language Classes,” cooperating with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology to digitize learning materials, and organizing advanced training and regular consultation sessions for overseas teachers.
With the motto “Global Solidarity – Respect for Diversity – Localized Solutions for Each Country/Region,” the Network aims to become a strong bridge linking overseas Vietnamese language teachers with the homeland.
The training course took place from July 26 to September 20, 2025, consisting of five online sessions focusing on key topics. More than 550 teachers and learners from 30 countries and territories participated, and hundreds of submitted reports have now formed a shared repository of teaching materials. |
