To ensure the organization and management of this year's festival, Hanoi city assigned the relevant agencies, especially the festival management boards, local authorities, departments, and sectors to propagate and introduce the true values of traditional beliefs and rituals; not to allow the festivals to be commercialized. The city also required relevant agencies to popularize and mobilize the people to limit burning votive paper and hold festivals economically and unobtrusively, Baotintuc reported.
The festival management boards need to continue to strengthen anti-epidemic measures, monitor and update the epidemic situation to promptly inform people. Tourist sites and monuments need to be regularly disinfected and provide visitors with hand sanitizers.
Hanoi city will establish a group to inspect the management and organization of festivals and announce the phone number 0869.295538 to receive and process information regarding the festivals.
In 2020, given the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, only 139 out of scheduled 1,206 festivals in Hanoi took place.
With a population of more than 95 million, Vietnam has recorded 1,505 infections and 35 deaths to date.
