Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, emphasized that July 14 has become a special annual occasion for the people of both countries to honor enduring historical values, the unique cultural exchange between Europe and Asia, and the Vietnam-France friendship.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Loc Ha affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most dynamic cities in promoting cooperation with France, based on the good bilateral relationship between the two countries. In this new development phase, the city expects to continue receiving companionship and support from the French Government and the French business community in key areas such as digital transformation, education and training, smart infrastructure, sustainable urban development, and cultural heritage preservation.

"The city would create the most favorable conditions in terms of institutions, policies, and investment environment for cooperation initiatives to be implemented practically, effectively, and sustainably, based on the spirit of harmonious benefits and shared risks," he said.

Also, he expressed confidence that, with historical foundations, political trust, and effective economic ties, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and France in general, as well as the cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and French localities in particular, would increasingly develop, contributing positively to peace, stability, and common prosperity.

At the ceremony, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser said that the French Consul General highly praised Ho Chi Minh City's role in bilateral relations, particularly the diverse cooperation activities in economy, trade, technology, artificial intelligence, education, and culture. The foreign diplomat affirmed that these results are evidence of the sustainable and promising development of France-Vietnam relations, with Ho Chi Minh City continuing to play a leading role in local cooperation. This would be the basis for consolidating and developing cooperation between France and Vietnam in the coming time.
