This is one of outstanding activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany (1975-2025).
At the event, Mayor of Augsburg Eva Weber appreciated the contribution of the Vietnamese community in Germany to the overall development of the city, such as the unique culinary experiences, but also cultural values, community cohesion and friendliness and openness.
Meanwhile, Pham Huy Phuong, Head of the Community Affairs Department of the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany believed that the festival is a symbol of friendship, a cultural bridge connecting the two peoples
“Vietnam-Germany relations have been constantly developing over the past 50 years in many fields such as economy, culture, education and science. In addition, the Vietnamese community in Germany contributes to preserving and spreading Vietnamese culture, enriching the local multicultural life,” said Pham Huy Phuong.
On this occasion, the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany awarded Certificates of Merit to Huong Viet Magazine and the Vietnamese Association of the Schwaben Region. The awardee is recognized for their positive contributions to preserving cultural identity, supporting the community and press and communicationu activities.
