Introducing Vietnamese Culture to Western Australians

Within the framework of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia, with the desire to bring Vietnamese culture closer to the people of Western Australia, the Consulate General of Vietnam to Perth coordinated with VTV3-Vietnam Television, Eleven S to organize the "Lotus Light" event on December 3 at Winthrop Hall on the campus of the University of Western Australia.
The event has the support and companionship of the University of Western Australia (WA), Tourism Western Australia and the WA Investment and Trade

The "Lotus Light" event attracted the participation of nearly 400 guests, including the Mayor of Cockburn City, Deputy Director General of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation of Western Australia, representatives of the Western Australian Tourism, Investment and Trade, and representatives of the Consular Delegation in Western Australia.
Attending the event were also the business community operating in the fields of tourism and fashion, professors from universities and a large Vietnamese community living and studying in Western Australia.
Through booths promoting tourism and cuisine, guests attending the event have the opportunity to hear introductions to famous tourist destinations in Vietnam and receive information about the opening of a direct flight between Perth and Ho Chi Minh City by Vietjet and Vietnam Airlines.
They enjoy the flavor of Vietnamese coffee and learn about the unique features of tea culture through the direct guidance of tea master Ngo Thi Thanh Tam.

Professor Jennifer Howell, vice rector in charge of international cooperation, the University of Western Australia appreciated the significance of the program.
He believed that this is a great opportunity for cultural exchange, and the University of Western Australia hopes to contribute to the process of promoting mutual understanding between the two peoples.

On this occasion, Consul General Nguyen Thanh Ha awarded the logo commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations. He thanked Western Australian partners for accompanying and supporting the Consulate General in recent commemorative activities.
The event "Lotus Light" is expected to contribute to introducing and spreading Vietnamese culture to the Western Australian community, opening up opportunities to promote cooperation in trade, investment, education, tourism, cultural exchange and people-to-people exchange.
