Thailand’s The Nation Thailand recently published an article highlighting President Ho Chi Minh’s humanitarian legacy as an important foundation that helped shape and develop the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Thailand.

On May 19, at Tao Dan Park in Hanoi, the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam held a memorial ceremony for Cuban National Hero José Martí on the occasion of the 131st anniversary of his death (May 19, 1895 - May 19, 2026). Speeches delivered at the event highlighted the values of national independence, international solidarity, and the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.

Significant progress in Viet Nam-Denmark relations in recent times, from promoting Danish investment projects in Viet Nam to strengthening people-to-people exchanges and local-level cooperation, has been made with the contributions of Ambassador Nicolai Prytz. In recognition of these contributions, on May 19 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations awarded the “For peace and friendship among nations” Medal to the Ambassador.

On the evening of May 16, a reception was held at Tien Sa Port (Da Nang City) on the occasion of the visit of the Royal Canadian Navy Ship (HMCS) Charlottetown to Da Nang on a friendship visit. The event contributed to strengthening naval exchanges, promoting mutual understanding, and further deepening the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Canada, in the context of the two countries’ relationship continuing to develop positively across multiple fields.
