At the ceremony, the organizers awarded 155 Vallet scholarships, with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND, to students from the Central Highlands region and the former Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces (now part of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and Khanh Hoa after the administrative merger).
Accordingly, 125 scholarships (16 million VND each) were awarded to outstanding students from specialized high schools, boarding schools for ethnic minorities, regular high schools, as well as students overcoming hardships; while 30 scholarships (32 million VND each) were presented to outstanding students from Dalat University, Nha Trang University, Tay Nguyen University, and other disadvantaged university students.
This year marks the 25th edition of the Vallet Scholarship in Vietnam, with both the number and value of awards increasing over time. To date, more than 55,000 Vallet scholarships, worth over 500 billion VND, have been granted to students across the country. In 2025 alone, 2,200 outstanding students from various provinces and cities nationwide will receive the scholarship.

The Vallet Scholarship was established through the voluntary contributions of Professor Odon Vallet, a Doctor of Law and Professor of the History of Religions at the Sorbonne University, France. Inheriting a vast fortune, Professor Vallet chose not to use it for himself but deposited the entire amount in the bank, entrusting part of it to the “Rencontres du Vietnam” (Meeting Vietnam) scientific and educational organization to award scholarships to outstanding students in Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese students studying in France.
