- How do you assess the significance and importance of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam?

Personally, I believe this is an especially important event. The Congress takes place in a context where the regional and international situation is undergoing many complex, rapid, and unpredictable changes. Nevertheless, I am confident that the Congress will open up historic opportunities for Vietnam.

This event comes at a time when Vietnam has just commemorated the 80th anniversary of its founding and continues to vigorously advance the renewal process, which has achieved many remarkable accomplishments. Over the past 40 years of renewal, Vietnam has maintained political stability and ensured good security and social order. Socio-cultural sectors have continuously improved, and the people’s living standards have steadily risen. Economically, Vietnam has achieved stable, continuous, rapid development with strong breakthroughs. It can be affirmed that Vietnam is currently one of the countries with the leading development pace in the region and the world.

Therefore, I believe this Party Congress is an important occasion to review the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress and the 40-year renewal journey. At the same time, the Congress will adopt plans and development orientations for the next period. Vietnam’s goal is to continue comprehensive national development, striving to become a developing country with upper-middle income by 2030 and a developed, high-income country by 2045.

Personally, I see this Congress as having extremely important significance, creating strong motivation and encouragement for the entire Vietnamese people, promoting close coordination among sectors and levels with the Party and the Government to implement the set objectives. I firmly believe that these plans and goals will be successfully realized.

- What are your expectations regarding Vietnam’s foreign policy and regional cooperation after the Congress?

At the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, one of the very important contents is to continue promoting international cooperation objectives.

In recent years, I personally highly appreciate Vietnam’s correct and effective implementation of its foreign policy. This has helped Vietnam affirm its increasingly important role in the international arena and in the region. Vietnam has always proactively participated in regional and international activities, while also playing an initiating role in many important forums, notably the ASEAN Future Forum.

Vietnam is also an active member of many regional and international organizations. Therefore, I believe that implementing a foreign policy oriented toward multilateralization is a continuation aimed at maintaining the best possible stability in Vietnam’s international relations.

At this Congress, the Party and the State of Vietnam have issued many important resolutions, especially Resolution 57 on digital development, innovation, and a modern technology-based economy. These policies aim to modernize the economy, gradually reduce dependence on low-skilled labor, thereby enhancing the value of Vietnam’s goods and services to keep pace with regional and global development trends.

I am very impressed and confident in the leadership of the Party and the State of Vietnam. Looking back at the past journey and toward the future after the 14th National Congress, I see that Vietnamese leaders consistently demonstrate vision in reforming, enhancing state governance capacity, and improving the legal system to build a strong rule-of-law state.
