On July 7 in Hanoi, the Vietnam-USA Society (the Society) held its conference to review its work during the first six months of 2026 and outline priorities for the remaining six months of the year. The Society identified expanding its network of partners in the United States, strengthening people-to-people diplomacy, and promoting practical cooperation between the two countries as key priorities. Fernandez III stated that the elevation of bilateral ties to an Enhanced Strategic Partnership reflects the strong commitment of both countries to further advancing dialogue and cooperation across the political, economic, and cultural spheres, thereby delivering tangible benefits to the people and businesses of both countries.

After several consecutive days of operations in Playa Grande, the epicenter of the earthquake in Venezuela's La Guaira State, Vietnam's search and rescue team has recovered a total of 45 victims' bodies from collapsed structures while carrying out a wide range of humanitarian and medical assistance for affected residents. The team's efforts have not only been recognized by the Venezuelan authorities but have also attracted the attention of numerous international media outlets.
