According to Decision No. 2168/QD-UBND issued by the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee on June 8, 2026, the non-project will be implemented from June 2026 through May 2027. Its four main activities include supporting 10 primary school campuses in establishing classroom library corners or upgrading library facilities with bookshelves, books, storybooks, and reference materials for students.

In addition, the project will organize two training courses for librarians and teachers on library management skills and the effective use of school library resources. Following the training sessions, participating teachers will share their knowledge and replicate best practices within their institutions.

The project will also conduct two training courses for preschool teachers and nutrition staff to strengthen knowledge and skills related to child nutrition and healthcare. Communication and guidance activities for parents on child care at home will also be enhanced.

Furthermore, a total of 550 scholarships will be awarded over two academic years to students who are victims of unexploded ordnance, persons with disabilities, ethnic minority female students, and students facing difficult circumstances who have demonstrated determination in their studies. Additional support will include notebooks and educational materials on mine-risk awareness.

The implementation of the "Education Support in Quang Tri Province for 2026-2027" non-project by Peace Trees Vietnam is expected to improve educational conditions, foster reading habits, enhance the quality of preschool care, and help students continue their education across Quang Tri Province, particularly preschool children, pupils, and university students living in areas heavily affected by the lingering consequences of war.
