Save the Children Japan Improves Livelihoods and Healthcare for Women and Children in Mountainous Areas
	Healthcare Cooperation Toward the 70th Anniversary of Vietnam-France Friendship

The activity is part of the Vietnam Youth Health Program (YHP) 2023-2026, implemented by Plan International Vietnam with funding from AstraZeneca. Based on students’ own recommendations, the project worked closely with the university to upgrade the campus medical room into a more student-friendly space, better meeting healthcare needs and serving as a reliable support point to help students feel secure in their studies and personal development.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Thi Luong Phong, Director of External Affairs at AstraZeneca Vietnam, emphasized: “Adolescent health is one of the key pillars in AstraZeneca Vietnam’s commitment to improving community health. Through the Youth Health Program, we collaborate with partners to strengthen prevention, raise awareness, and equip young people with essential self-care skills.”

Representing the university, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thanh Tung, Vice President, affirmed that the launch of the Student-Friendly Health Corner reflects the university’s strong commitment to student healthcare. He added that the initiative is also a testament to a comprehensive school health approach, fostering a healthy, supportive, and respectful learning environment that promotes the holistic development of every student.

The Student-Friendly Health Corner is designed to facilitate easier access to healthcare services, reduce psychological barriers to seeking support, increase awareness of both physical and mental health, and enhance students’ readiness to respond to emergencies on campus.
