Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam highlighted the profound historical significance of the Great Victory of Spring 1975—a turning point that marked the end of the war, unified the nation, and ushered in an era of independence, unity, and a shared journey towards building a socialist Vietnam characterized by "rich people, strong country, democracy, equality, and civilization." This victory not only represented the pinnacle of the resistance war against the US but also symbolized the spirit of national solidarity under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. Furthermore, it stood as a shared achievement of the global revolutionary movement, inspiring nations, including Laos, to pursue their struggles for independence.

The exhibition features nearly 300 striking photographs with bilingual Vietnamese and Lao captions, vividly retelling significant moments from the resistance war, culminating in the monumental Great Victory of Spring 1975. Additionally, it portrays the remarkable solidarity and camaraderie between Vietnam and Laos during the flames of war, capturing scenes of leaders, experts, volunteer soldiers, and civilians from both nations standing side by side. The exhibition also shines a spotlight on the achievements of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in recent years.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam expressed that the event seeks to instill the cherished tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking water"—a heartfelt tribute to the generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Beyond this, it aims to amplify awareness and education about the profound friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. He shared his hope that the event would deepen understanding among overseas Vietnamese, students, officials, Party members, and Lao people about the revolutionary histories of both nations, while nurturing the increasingly sustainable growth of Vietnam-Laos relations.
