The program will be implemented in the communes of La Lay, Ta Rut, Dakrong, Huong Hiep, Khe Sanh, Tan Lap, Lia, and A Doi, with a focus on the improvement of living quality for vulnerable groups, especially girls and ethnic minority communities.
Its key activities include protecting children, adolescents, and communities from violence; enhancing resilience to climate change; empowering and enhancing the voices of children and adolescents; supporting sustainable livelihood development; and promoting community participation in policy making.
The program contributes to supporting Quang Tri in implementing socio-economic development goals associated with ensuring social security, welfare, and improving the quality of life of people in areas with difficult socio-economic conditions, with a focus on children, adolescents, and women, especially in disadvantaged communities and ethnic minorities.
Plan International has been operating in Vietnam since 1993 and is currently implementing projects in six provinces and cities. By 2025, the organization aims to support 2 million girls in 1,875 communities to learn, lead, and thrive in a safe environment that respects children's rights.
