Promoting German-Vietnamese Trade and Investment Through Diplomacy

At the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Vu Quang Minh had a meeting with Marko Walde, chief representative of the Chief Representative of Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK), and Nguyen Quang Hieu, chairman of the Hanoi Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association on Thursday.

At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation plans to promote diplomatic, trade and investment relations between Germany and Vietnam, through people-to-people diplomacy.

That plan is to promote trade cooperation, wind renewable energy; vocational training according to German standards; implement parallel vocational training projects while transferring the latest German technologies to innovate, and join the supply chain of German investors in Vietnam to support Vietnamese businesses .

The Hanoi Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association also agreed and is expected to approve a number of activities to realize the goal.

The activities include developing the relationship between Hanoi and Berlin, waste treatment, drug supply through AHK and cultural activities such as organizing a friendship football tournament and a Christmas fair. These will all strengthen cultural understanding between the two countries.
