Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Reviews 2025 Performance, Sets Tasks for 2026
	Strong Innovation to Enhance the Substantive Effectiveness of People-to-People Diplomacy in 2026

According to the report presented at the conference, in 2025 the Quang Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations continued to promote its role in advising, proposing initiatives, and proactively coordinating with agencies, departments, and sectors in implementing tasks related to relations, solidarity, and friendship between the people of Quang Ninh and those of other countries, as well as with foreign non-governmental organizations. People-to-people diplomatic activities were closely linked with Party external relations and State diplomacy, contributing to consolidating and strengthening friendly relations between the people of Quang Ninh and those of other countries.

External information and communication work was intensified through the Union’s component information portal and on Quang Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television. Communication content focused on the implementation of directives and resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People’s Committee, and the provincial Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee on people-to-people diplomacy, while also reflecting activities to expand networks of international friends and partners. Member associations under the Union paid attention to organizational consolidation, maintained regular operations, and organized many practical people-to-people exchange activities.

In 2025, the Quang Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with central and local agencies to receive six delegations with 142 international delegates visiting and working in Quang Ninh, ensuring safety, thorough arrangements, and respectful reception. Efforts to mobilize and attract funding from foreign non-governmental organizations continued to be maintained, contributing effectively to the province’s socio-economic development and social welfare programs.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and President of the Quang Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations, emphasized that in 2026 the Union will focus on intensifying communication on the 14th National Party Congress, and continue to improve the effectiveness of disseminating directives and resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the provincial People’s Committee on people-to-people diplomacy to members and the public. At the same time, attention will be given to consolidating and strengthening the Union and its member associations, and to thoroughly preparing documents and personnel work for the 6th Congress of the Quang Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2026-2031 term, in line with the guidance of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People’s Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province.
