Sapa, Fansipan on top 10 Southeast Asian hikes that should be on your bucket list

Plus, it has a variety of trails to suit all levels of hikers, from half-day hikes to Dao and Hmong villages to a 4-day trek up to the highest peak in Vietnam – Fansipan. Furthermore, Sapa has refreshing temperatures and is home to hill tribes with colorful cultures.

Meanwhile, Fansipan, Vietnam’s highest mountain, is named as the “Roof of Indochina”. With an impressive elevation of 3,143 meters, it is, after all, an extremely steep mountain that’s only recommended for those who are in tip-top shape.

As a matter of fact, it will take a minimum of 3 days to scale the mountain and get back down to the base. In addition to its long trail and towering elevation, it has fairly rugged terrains, making it an irresistible playground for bona fide travel junkies.
