Solemn Hung Kings Commemoration Held at Vietnam’s Embassy in The Republic of Korea

This marked the first time the event has been held at the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, reflecting strong attention to the spiritual and cultural life of the Vietnamese community there. The ceremony also helped preserve and promote Vietnam’s traditional cultural values amid international integration. Attendees included representatives from various departments of the Embassy, Vietnamese associations in the Republic of Korea, and a large number of overseas Vietnamese living, studying, and working in the country.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Vu Ho emphasized the historical importance and enduring value of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day, describing it as a symbol of national origin, unity, and deep gratitude to the ancestors who laid the foundation of the nation. He noted that throughout thousands of years marked by hardships and challenges, the Vietnamese people have remained resilient in securing independence, preserving peace, and advancing into a new era of development with strong aspirations for growth.
On this basis, the Ambassador called on the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea to continue fostering solidarity, preserving national cultural identity, and upholding the country’s image and reputation. He also encouraged them to integrate successfully into their host society, achieve personal and professional success, and contribute meaningfully to the development of Vietnam while strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.
