Sujatha Ramachandra, wife of the Republic of Singapore's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, spoke at the event and said that the program is one of the events that the Embassy supports to strengthen ties between the two nations as they commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Singapore and the 10th anniversary of the creation of a strategic partnership.

She believes that International Women's Day is an appropriate opportunity to recognize the difficulties that women encounter every day. Women play a variety of roles and are subject to a variety of challenges both at work and in their personal lives.

Sujatha also belives that in order to create a better world, where women are respected for who they are in terms of personality, spirit, and willingness to learn, an environment of true cooperation - at work and at home - is required, empowering all the women around them as role models, instructors, mentors, advocates, champions, and supporters.

She hopes the conversations are informative, engaging, and enlightening as they cover topics important to women and give them useful assistance.

With the same point of view, Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh, Director of InvestPro Law Firm and Vice Chairperson of the Vietnam Bar Federation, shares that in order for women to be successful in life and career, they had to work much harder than males, complete and strive consistently in their career, and maintain the woman's role in the household.

As society progresses, women's place, role, and contribution become more clearly seen and properly appreciated. Vietnam's efforts to achieve gender equality and to advance women have been recognized and highly praised by the United Nations and the international community. As of 2022, Vietnam is ranked 47th globally (out of 187 nations) in the rating of gender equality in political involvement and management, third in the ASEAN area.
