First, further strengthening the relationship between the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship Association and the Algeria-Vietnam Friendship Association. Ambassador Azeddine Bechka will continue to support cooperation between the two associations and facilitate an early visit by the Algeria-Vietnam Friendship Association to Vietnam.

Second, enhancing coordination between the Algerian Embassy in Vietnam and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations in organizing people-to-people diplomatic activities.

Third, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations stands ready to coordinate with and support the Algerian Embassy in Vietnam in organizing visits and working sessions with localities across Vietnam, thereby exploring opportunities for economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

President Phan Anh Son stated that the affection between the peoples of Vietnam and Algeria stems from a shared spirit of solidarity in the historical struggle against foreign invaders. The victory of Vietnam’s struggle for independence became a source of inspiration for many national liberation movements around the world, including in Algeria.

The close ties between the peoples of the two countries were concretely expressed by the establishment of the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship Association in 1986. Fifteen years later, the Algeria-Vietnam Friendship Association was also founded.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Azeddine Bechka expressed admiration for Vietnam’s economic development achievements. He emphasized that Vietnam serves as a model and a source of inspiration for Algeria in its economic development journey. The government and people of Algeria have always held deep affection for Vietnam. Currently, there are two boulevards in Algeria named after President Ho Chi Minh, symbolizing the solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

Ambassador Azeddine Bechka expressed his belief that Vietnam will realize its goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045. He expressed the hope that the two countries would continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of politics, education, and the arts, while also expanding into new areas where both sides have strengths and potential.

Agreeing with the three proposals presented by President Phan Anh Son, Ambassador Azeddine Bechka affirmed that the Algerian Embassy in Vietnam, as well as he personally, will continue to work closely with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations in exchanging information, organizing delegation visits, and contributing to further deepening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
