It is considered a priority in bilateral relations that contributes to the building of mutual trust and understanding.

The host proposed that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and VFW work together to develop programs to support victims of Agent Orange, organize exchange activities between the Vietnamese and American youth, and so on. The activities will help American people learn about the country and people of Vietnam and open up cooperation opportunities in the fields of education, research, and tourism.

In response, VFW Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief Carol Whitmore, head of the delegation, stressed that, from former enemies to trusted partners, Vietnam and the United States partnership, which has been consolidated significantly, is a model of the modern bilateral relationship with in-depth initiatives.
