The resolution reaffirms the fundamental principles of budgeting for United Nations peacekeeping operations. It notes the current financial constraints and stresses the importance of allocating sufficient resources to enable the UNISFA Mission to fulfil its mandate as set out in relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions. It also calls on Member States to contribute fully to the Mission’s budget.
The resolution approved a budget of USD 310 million to cover salaries, equipment, medical expenses, and other expenses to ensure the operations of the UNISFA Mission from July 2025 to June 2026.

According to information from the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations, during the negotiation process, faced with diverse viewpoints and proposals from many countries, in its role as a coordinating country, Vietnam has made efforts to find solutions to narrow differences, promote compromise and build consensus on the draft Resolution, thereby gained support of all countries at Committee 5 and at the plenary session for the Resolution.
Along with sending nearly 200 military and police officers to join the UNISFA Mission, Vietnam's proactive role in coordinating and promoting the budget for the Mission is of great significance, contributing to ensuring conditions for the implementation of peacekeeping missions in Abyei. This also directly supports and creates working conditions for Vietnamese "blue beret" officers in important, complex, and difficult areas.
This result continues to affirm Vietnam's commitment to being an active, trustworthy, and responsible member, while demonstrating Vietnam's coordination, leadership, and prestige capacity at United Nations forums.
