Within the framework of the National Trade Promotion Program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association (VOAA) organized the Vietnam Pavilion, featuring seven outstanding organic enterprises, at Biofach 2026 - the world’s leading trade fair for organic food. The event took place from February 11-13 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in Nürnberg, Federal Republic of Germany.

According to VOAA, this was not merely a trade promotion activity but also an opportunity to enhance the image and competitiveness of the national Organic Vietnam brand - “Organic of Vietnam”; strengthen enterprise capacity and support compliance with international standards; promote green transformation and sustainable agricultural exports in line with national strategies; learn and update international organic standards and market trends; and support Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises that have obtained organic certification or are practicing organic standards in building connections and expanding export opportunities.
According to Vietnam News Agency correspondents in Germany, the Vietnamese business delegation at Biofach 2026 showcased products including cashew kernels and roasted cashews, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, tea, spices, essential oils, and organic detergents. Participating companies included familiar names that have attended Biofach for many years such as Vinasamex, Hiep Thanh, FNB, Long Son, and Hanfimex, as well as first-time participant Sen Capital.
Pham Minh Duc, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Inspection Board of VOAA, and Head of the Vietnamese Business Delegation to Biofach, stated that this marked the ninth time VOAA has organized Vietnamese enterprises’ participation in Biofach, as the organic trade fair in Germany is the largest and most prestigious of its kind worldwide.
Europe sets benchmark organic standards considered among the highest in the world. Therefore, enterprises that obtain European certification, participate in the fair, and access European customers demonstrate that Vietnamese organic products are capable of entering most global markets.
According to Pham Minh Duc, many enterprises that first attended Biofach with VOAA when they were still small have since made remarkable progress. Their revenues have multiplied, and they are now able to participate independently, maintaining their presence, nurturing long-standing customers, and seeking new partners at Biofach. As a result, the total number of Vietnamese enterprises attending Biofach 2026 has reached 14–15.
Vietnamese organic enterprises participating in the fair have also undergone positive transformation. Instead of primarily exporting raw materials as in the past, they are now developing their own brands and investing more deeply in processing.
VOAA places top priority on enabling qualified enterprises to participate in major organic fairs such as Biofach. According to Pham Minh Duc, beyond promoting organic agricultural production, sales activities create significant momentum that stimulates domestic production.
At the fair, Vietnam’s Trade Counsellor in Germany, Dang Thi Thanh Phuong, and Pham Minh Duc held discussions with Thomas Derstadt, Head of the Spice Purchasing Division of the Import Promotion Desk (IPD) under the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), on ways to position Vietnam as a partner country of IPD - an important channel for helping Vietnamese export products access Germany’s broad customer base.
Biofach is the largest networking event dedicated to the organic food industry, bringing together producers from around the world and featuring a diverse conference program showcasing the latest product trends.
The event attracted approximately 35,000 trade visitors and more than 2,200 exhibitors from nearly 90 countries, presenting a wide range of organic food products across the entire value chain, from advanced agricultural production to retail and consumption.
In addition to Germany, the strongest participating countries included Italy, the Netherlands, India, Austria, and Spain, with India designated as the “Country of the Year” for Biofach 2026.
