Vietnam, Japan Expected to Foster Cooperation in Diplomatic Exchanges at All Levels

Japan is a major partner of Vietnam in trade, economy, and investment, and is Vietnam's largest ODA provider. This statement was made by Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council during the meeting.
He highly appreciated and believed in the cooperative relationship between the two countries over the past 50 years in various fields, contributing to the development of the Vietnam - Japan relationship in general and of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Japanese partners in particular.

Thang also suggested that in the coming time, Ambassador Ito Naoki should continue to increase support for the Academy and JICA to implement the Project "Training and fostering leaders and managers at all levels, especially at the strategic level." He also emphasized the importance of enhancing academic exchanges, policy consulting research between Japanese and Vietnamese partners. The two sides should focus on coordinating and supporting the organization of a high-level forum on semiconductor development technology in 2024 and high-level Vietnam - Japan security - strategy forums.
At the meeting, Ambassador Ito Naoki affirmed that he will do his best to actively develop the good traditional relationship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan, as well as contribute to promoting the relationship. Cooperation between the Japanese Embassy, Japanese agencies and organizations and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
