Vietnam - Netherlands Collaborate on Sustainable Solutions for Aquaculture

The Party Committee of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations will continue to innovate, professionalize, mobilize the society to participate and create a brave, modern and effective people-to-people diplomacy in the era of globalization, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed her confidence when giving a speech directing the Congress of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2025-2030 tenure on June 26 in Hanoi.

Proposals such as short-term visa exemption policies for tourists, the launch of direct flight routes, enhanced people-to-people diplomacy through expanded friendship associations, and the establishment of university-research alliances were among the key recommendations put forward at the conference “75 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Central, Eastern European Countries: Strengthening Friendship, Enhancing Cooperation, Looking Toward the Future”, held on June 26 in Hanoi.

The seminar, which took place on June 25, drew numerous representatives from the political, economic, academic, and civil society sectors of both countries, along with members of the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association.

During his three-year tenure in Vietnam, Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Shawn Steil has significantly contributed to promoting the friendly relations between the two countries. In recognition of his contributions, on June 25 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations held a ceremony to award the "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" medal to Ambassador Shawn Steil.
