Vietnam War Veteran Association in Russia celebrates Reunification Day

According to Vietnam News Agency reporters, Vietnam War Veteran Association in Russia held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam's Reunification Day (April 30), the World Labour Day (May 1), and the Association's 5th anniversary of establishment on April 30 in Moskva.
The ceremony welcomed Colonel Tran Tien Phuong, Vietnamese Defense Attaché in Russian Federation; Mr. Le Trung Hieu, Community Affairs Standing member of Vietnam Embassy to Russia; members of the Vietnam War Veterans Association in the Russian Federation and a number of representatives from Vietnamese businesses in Russia.

After the solemn flag ceremony, Mr. Do Van Tieu, the Association's Deputy President expressed his infinite gratitude towards the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to protect the fatherland, to gain "today's victory day."
Mr. Do Van Tieu congratulated all the veterans who participated in the fight to liberate the South, to reunite the nation, as well as the soldiers who participated in the fights to protect the country. According to Tieu, 46 years had passed since the country's reunification. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the country is growing stronger, per capita income has increased 30 times, the country is now politically stable and its reputation in the international arena has been increasingly enhanced.

Tieu said that the Vietnam War Veterans Association in the Russian Federation was established on December 22, 2015, and made its first debut on April 30, 2016. After 5 years of operation, the Association has always been the core to connect comrades. In addition to Moscow, the Association expanded its activities to the cities of Yekaterinburg, Pyatigorsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Ulyanovsk in Russia.
In his speech, the Vietnam National Defense Attaché in the Russian Federation, Colonel Tran Tien Phuong congratulated the veterans on the national holiday, congratulating the Vietnam War Veterans Association in the Russian Federation on its 5th anniversary of establishment.

Colonel Tran Tien Phuong expressed his joy when Vietnamese veterans in Russia continued to uphold the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," living and working enthusiastically, sharing assistance to overcome all kinds of difficulties, contributing to the steady development of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation, heading towards the homeland.
The ceremony took place in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Vietnamese war veterans in the Russian Federation and members of the Vietnam Defense Attaché Office in the Russian Federation harmonized praising the country and the soldiers.
