At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the expanded G7 Summit and work in Japan from May 19 to 21, 2023.

Assessing this event, Japanese businesses in Vietnam said that the working visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Japan will continue to promote the partnership between Vietnam and Japan, enhancing substantive cooperation between the two countries.

From there, the two countries can come up with appropriate cooperation policies in the coming time, creating an open investment environment. They help businesses of the two countries feel secure to stabilize production and contribute to the development of the two economies.

Representative of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd - a member of Canon Group assessed that 2023 is the year Vietnam and Japan celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. This shows the long-term and strong relationship between the two countries.

Thanks to the similarity in culture between the two countries, Vietnam attracted many Japanese FDI enterprises, which led to effective satellite businesses, creating jobs for workers and contributing to the development of Vietnam's economy.

The representative of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that thanks to the support of the Government of Vietnam, departments and agencies of Hanoi, the enterprise maintains stable production activities, creating jobs for more than 22,000 employees of 3 factories.

Ida Shuji, Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that the working visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Japan will be of great significance to further promote the strong cooperation between the two countries.

Ida Shuji said that the Japanese Government has made investments in many fields in Vietnam through ODA and FDI projects. In contrast, the largest number of foreigners living and working in Japan today are Vietnamese.

In a country with a decreasing population like Japan, the Vietnamese labor force plays a huge and important role in the Japanese economy. Therefore, Ida Shuji hopes that the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Japan will further develop.
