This is the first time participating for the delegation of artists from the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre, leaving a special impression of traditional folk theater art, a special product of Vietnam's agriculture. Water puppet shows tell rustic, authentic stories about Vietnamese countryside life through the soft movements of wooden puppets on water.

Performances such as “Harvest Festival”, “Spring Festival” or “Spiritual Dance” have created a lively bridge between tradition and modernity, demonstrating the creative and integrated spirit of Vietnamese artists.

Besides water puppetry, other puppetry performances together with modern light, music and stage techniques, help affirm the development of Vietnamese puppetry art in the contemporary flow before Thai and international friends.

A large number of Thai audiences, overseas Vietnamese and international friends were captivated by the colorful world of the humorous Teu, or the fishing, farming scenes, the village festivals and folk dances. Many Thai and international audiences were excited to experience for the first time the unique folk art on water, where the skillful hands of the artists vividly express the stories of folk life.

Also, for the Vietnamese community in Thailand, the program is a meaningful occasion to celebrate the sacred cultural heritage that connects overseas Vietnamese to their homeland and country.
