Speaking at the event, Dr. Huynh The Du, President of the Vietnamese Professionals and Students Association in the United States, said that over the past 13 years, guided by the spirit of “one family, shared strength,” VPS has achieved many notable accomplishments. Entering a new stage of development, the organization aims for greater maturity, confidence, and ambition while remaining steadfast in its core mission of empowering members to advance their careers, successfully integrate into American society, and contribute to the development of both Vietnam and the United States.

According to Dr. Huynh The Du, many VPS members live between two cultures, two identities, and two homelands. Therefore, the organization continuously strives to create a connected environment where members can maximize their potential, contribute to the community, and strengthen ties between the two countries.

VPS is built upon three fundamental principles: creating value for the community; decentralizing and sharing leadership responsibilities; and supporting individuals and groups with a strong spirit of action and service. The organization aspires to become a platform that connects talent, resources, and ideas, thereby generating positive value for society.

At the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Nguyen Quoc Dung described the launch of VPS 2.0 as an important milestone that opens a new chapter of innovation and growth for the Association. He expressed support for VPS 2.0’s development vision, which focuses on building a network of Vietnamese professionals in key fields such as education, technology, public policy, environment, and trade.

According to Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung, this orientation aligns with the development trend of the Vietnam-United States Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, in which science and technology, innovation, the digital economy, and high-tech industries are increasingly becoming priority areas of cooperation. At the same time, it is consistent with Vietnam’s development strategy, which identifies science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of growth, while leveraging the role of overseas Vietnamese intellectuals and professionals as an important resource contributing to national development and enhancing Vietnam’s standing in the international arena.

The Vietnamese Professionals and Students Association in the United States (VPS), formerly known as the Vietnamese Youth and Students Association in the United States, was established on June 1, 2013. In December 2025, the organization was renamed VPS to expand its scope of activities, place greater emphasis on professional development, connect professionals, and promote cooperation within the framework of the Vietnam-United States Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. After 13 years of development, VPS has built an extensive network, connecting communities across the United States.
