On the morning of May 4, the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province, in coordination with the Standing Committee of the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Ky commune, held a voter meeting following the first session of the 16th National Assembly.

In efforts to remove the European Commission’s (EC) “yellow card,” Nghe An Province has identified the strict handling of non-compliant fishing vessels, particularly so-called “three-no” vessels, as a key priority.

Fishing activities by fishermen in the waters of Nghe An province have become increasingly vibrant, contributing to local economic development. However, alongside these positive signs, illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing still poses potential risks. In response, the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard has recently implemented a range of strong measures to prevent and curb this situation.

During the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday of the Year of the Fire Horse 2026, Vietnam’s tourism sector welcomed approximately 14 million visitors, marking a 12% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The spring tourism landscape recorded balanced growth in both domestic and international arrivals, spreading from major urban centers to numerous localities and generating momentum toward the sector’s 2026 growth targets.
