At the ceremony, the Can Tho City Federation of Labor personally presented 90 gift sets (each including a gift and VND 600,000, funded through social contributions and the Golden Heart Charity Fund) to studious students from disadvantaged backgrounds. In addition, nearly 400 more scholarships will be distributed to affiliated units under the City Federation of Labor.
Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Can Tho City Federation of Labor Nguyen Ngoc Tan shared that the gifts represent the care and support of the city's labor union leaders for children in hardship who are determined to study. He expressed hope that in the future, agencies, organizations, and businesses will continue to accompany and support the protection, care, and education of children especially those whose parents are union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
