Club of Overseas Vietnamese intellectuals in New South Wales debuts
The Representative Office of the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology in New South Wales, Australia on May 19 launched a club of Overseas Vietnamese intellectuals in New South Wales.

Addressing the launching ceremony, head of the Representative Office Chu Quang Hoa said that the Australian state is now home to nearly 100 Vietnamese scientists.
Hoa stated that the club aims to gather Overseas Vietnamese scientists in New South Wales and connect them with the intellectual community at home for mutual professional support and promoting cooperation, contributing to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese Consul General in New South Wales Trinh Duc Hai stressed the significance of scientific research exchange and technology transfer between Vietnam and Australia in the process of building the bilateral strategic partnership.
As Vietnam is conducting modernization following the trend of the fourth industrial revolution, and building a startup ecosystem, the OV intellectuals in Australia and New South Wales state in particular constitute one of the important factors to facilitate the process, he held.
He said that the club is also a bridge for knowledge and technology transfer to youngsters in Vietnam.
At the launching ceremony, the Representative Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology in New South Wales introduced an online science-technology information bank at website www.khoahoctot.vn, which is expected to help connect members of the club and their peers at home./.
